If you had asked me a few years ago, I wouldn't have guessed that bees would change the way I look at the world.
My journey started simply—at Trinity-Pawling's farm. Working with the student beekeeping program was my first real encounter with the hives. It was there I first realized that these tiny creatures hold our entire ecosystem together.
That realization turned into a quiet obsession. I started researching honeybee behavior at Cornell University, trying to understand how they operate. But the real turning point happened in 2026, when I stepped out of the academic world and into the fields. I traveled across the United States and China, shadowing beekeepers, listening to their stories, and consulting with university experts.
I saw firsthand how bees connect to our agriculture, our food systems, and our future. Bee Aware was born from these travels. It's my way of sharing what I've learned and inviting others to see what the bees have been trying to show us all along.
